Governance

Independent governance for Team China selection and oversight

CSSDA is guided by a volunteer board built to protect fairness, credibility, and student welfare across Team China WSDC and Team China WIDPSC.

The Board

Broad-based, independent oversight

The CSSDA Board is composed of leading debate educators and stakeholders from across China's speech and debate community. Major league, academy, school, and university leaders are represented within the broader structure, alongside individuals with direct experience in coaching, adjudication, parent communication, and national-team development. The purpose of this model is straightforward: Team China should never depend on one voice, one institution, or one private network.

The Board exists to oversee the integrity of the system. It helps set policy, approve selection structures, appoint coaches and adult staff, protect safeguarding standards, and ensure that public-facing processes remain transparent and credible. In practical terms, the Board is there to keep CSSDA accountable to its mission and to the wider community it serves.
